HARRY - SPANGLERS MASCOT
Elaine and Jenny with the Texas Tenors
Peterborough Indoor Bowls Club, the venue for SPANGLERS. Why not come along to a coaching session on Saturday mornings at 10.00am.
Photos from our opening night in June 2012 when MIDNIGHT TRAIN DUO entertained us all and got SPANGLERS off to a great start.
After a great start SPANGLERS played host to Carolanne B in July 2012. Carolanne was supported by Alan and together they performed 3 great sets.
In August we saw Jim Warton perform a great set with some really edgey guitar playing and unusually several numbers played on the mandolin. My favourite was the Mark Knopfler and Emmylou Harris song - Red Staggerwing from the album All the Road Running

September already and so far so good. This was the fourth Spanglers meeting and the entertainment was provided by Nashville Rose. They performed a wide range of music and the classic Ghost Riders in the Sky gave Steve the opportunity to exercise his fingers with some great guitar riffs.
October 2012 Spanglers played host to Katie Rhodes, a lady with a great voice and a patter to match. Here's some photos.
The music in November was provided by the almost local duo Campbells Country from Corby. Campbell and Tim kept us all entertained with a great set.
December at SPANGLERS was Christmas party time and Father Christmas was there with Mother Christmas (see the very rare photo of them below dancing together). The music was performed by Liverpool duo Savannah known individually as Chrissy Byne and Mark Smith. They did 3 fantastic sets and the highlight, in my humble opinion, was the Marty Robbins number El Paso, from the very old Gunfighter Ballads album. Also in my humble opinion they are the best act to grace the Spanglers stage so far.
